The title of the poem is “I Need You”… I want input… please comment and tell me what you think.
Many can say they’ve had a lifetime of regrets,
And I can’t deny that I’ve had mine.
But another added to the list
Is one regret never missed.
And makes the life you live less divine.
The worst mistake made yet,
Is one’s feelings locked inside.
It is foolish to hide such powerful emotions,
Only to protect one’s pride.
To risk friendship and vigor
Is a risk I’m willing to take.
For it’s nothing compared to the end result,
Of something so beautiful,
Only Heaven could make.
I do not speak of a romantic love,
I shall not speak of lust.
But I claim a solid harmony,
And a never-ending trust.
Only God knows what’s best,
And likewise, knows what is not.
He’s told me in a dream that it’s time to express
The feelings I’ve tried to repress,
And seek what needs to be sought.
So with the help of prayer and guidance
I wanted to tell you I’m ready
For what, I do not know…
But with this I need your help
To show me where I need to go…
