The mere thoughts that reside in my mind.
Published on May 5, 2005 By only a shadow In Misc
Days go by and I see your face.
I stare at you, and look for a trace,
Of an old love that we used to share,
And to see if you really even care.

Not that I love you again, and neither do you,
I just want to know if I was built on lies or truth.
Did you really mean it when you looked in my eyes
And told me that you would never say goodbye?

My heart is made of ice cold stone.
And all you’ve done has just left me alone
I wonder why you can hurt me so
And leave me here with no place to go.

You don’t care I can see that well
But don’t lie, because I can surly tell
If you want to be friends, I’m more that willing to see
If it will ever work out again between you and me.

But until that time comes, and you tell the truth,
And I will see if I truly love you.
Because love lasts forever, you know that well.
I never loved you then, at least as far as I can tell.

This poem sucks ass, it's 5:00 in the morning and I can't sleep...

this might not please you as "poetry" but it's powerful none the less.

~This poem sucks~

Actually, it's not too bad...something coming from the soul isn't sucky most of the time...

Love comes in several forms,
Don't limit it to merely one.
Your love knows reaches deep,
But not in the way you think.

Though you find hate in your mind,
'Tis love behind that wall.
Pushing the hate forward,
Makes the pain easier.

Open your heart,
Think to your soul,
Love is strange, that I know,
But don't be afraid of love, for you will never grow.
